FLOWIE
A nickname guys use for a tall, thin, long-legged woman who dresses in flowing skirts and loose accessories, in either earth tones or bright colors. This type of gal happens to be prevalent in the Bay area. A colleague may say, "Some flowie just came by here looking for you. I told her you'd BRB."
RICH
Refers to a content-heavy interface, or simply to "good quality content." For example, "When My Yahoo! first came out, I was pleasantly surprised with the richness of the layers."
DARKNET
A computer network or Internet service that lets users send and receive files and information over the Internet without fear of being monitored or logged. The service allows people to use an untraceable address in the "darknet," where they cannot be personally identified.
RUN
To execute a program. You'll commonly hear it used as "What version are you running?" or "What program are you running?" Synonyms for run include execute, initiate, launch, and start.
MECCA
Slang for anything that's mechanical (as opposed to "orga," for organic).
JAGGIES
The nickname for images on a computer screen that have jagged or stair-stepped edges along what is supposed to be a smooth, curvy, or diagonal line (such as an O or S).
